For those of you who may be wondering where the heck I’ve been all the time (sorry by the way), I’ve been busy traveling the world and trying to capture it on my luxury travel blog, Travelingpanties!
2013 brought me to some incredible places that I never even dreamed of visiting! Among my favorites are Paris, Antigua, St. Barth, Nevis ,Charleston and Cape Breton. Here are some of my favorite posts in 2013 in case you missed ‘em!
Most recently, I jetted off to Nevis in the West Indies. I had a chance to visit the Four Seasons Nevis there and really (unsurprisingly) enjoyed myself. This sleepy island is so charming and beautiful. If you’re looking for exclusivity and luxury, this is your place.
I popped over to Antigua and checked out the Carlisle Bay Hotel. This luxe resort had a boutique feel while maintaining all the luxuriousness of the best bigger name hotels. You could walk from your room to the water in less than 30 seconds. I just couldn’t get over how blue the water was here!
And while we’re on the subject of the Caribbean, I also popped over to St. Barth! This chic French starlet of the Caribbean was so glamorous and effortlessly cool, I just couldn’t get over it. The water, the parties, the clientele. I stayed at the Tom Beach hotel, owned by the founder of Le Ti St. Barth, the island’s coolest club. I absolutely loved my stay here. Find out why!
Believe it or not, I even had time to stop by Disney World! I was invited to preview Disney’s latest and greatest Vacation Club property: The Villas at the Grand Floridian Resort. There was a mouse in my house and I liked it! Luxury loving families now will rejoice because they can stay in a true Five Star room on the Disney property.
Then I popped over to the Four Seasons Las Vegas for a very close friend’s wedding. It’s so nice to have an option in Vegas nearby but just outside of the hustle and bustle (and smoke and mania). I loved this sanctuary that lets you feel away from it all.
I also visited Park City Utah! I found plenty of luxury and even got to try out a few outdoorsy activities! I found out that there is plenty to do here all year-round! The local saying goes–come for ski season, stay for the summers!
I also checked out Charleston, South Carolina. This is definitely one of my new favorite cities in the world. It’s so charming, it’s hard not to fall in love! But the food here is just incredible. I could hardly fit into my pants by the time I made it back! Check out my post about where to eat in Charleston!
And then I came back to my home base of New York City! Here are a few of my favorite bars to get cozy in this chilly holiday season!
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
