Introducing The Joey Healy Collection’s Elite Sculpting Tweezer
Jan 18, 2013 Author: Katie Lara | Filed under: BeautyDo you still do your own brows? As I've mentioned before I usually go to Lancome because they do a good job but are also reasonably priced at $25/sculpting session. I also posted before about Joey Healy's studio, where he tweezes your brows into perfect shape, however, it's a bit pricey for many of you (self included) so in between sessions I tweeze my brows almost daily. Nothing is more important to the face than your brows ladies.
I hate more than anything when I see a girl with wolf brows! You know the ones, they have stray hairs all over the place and small hairs that they haven't removed. At that point your better off just letting them run wild, I say.
Anyway, I had the pleasure of trying out Joey Healy's Elite Sculpting Tweezer, which is what he uses too. They are stainless steel and really give great accuracy. I was so happy he sent me a pair because my Tweezerman tweezers were very dull (I've had them for years and really don't treat them nicely). Out with the old and in with the new, Joey's tweezers are great. I love their slanted head and the precision they give me. I never miss the tiny hairs anymore.
Joey's Tips for Tweezing:
First of all, he told me that you should always keep the plastic rubber cap on the head to keep them sharp. That's what he does and says he never really needs sharpening. Next, tweeze in daylight or very bright light. The next thing, which I found surprising but actually very smart is to never use a magnifying mirror unless you really know what you're doing because otherwise, you'll lose perspective. Start with the obvious stray hairs and then move in for the rest, tweezing only one hair at a time. Use the tip to get the shortest hairs.
Elite Sculpting Tweezers are $35 and available for purchase on www.joeyhealy.com
