Yoplait Greek Yogurt: Embrace Your Inner Greek Goddess!

Opa! Yoplait has gone greek! With only 130 calories and 12 grams of protein this sweet treat won't have you bursting with guilt after you sneak a little snack. I was so excited to bring these little guys to work when I got 'em. I went through a major greek yogurt obsession during the bar exam. Fage greek yogurt was my breakfast savior. So I was psyched to try another brand since I tend to tire quickly of the same thing.

My thoughts on Yoplait greek?

Texture: It's not as thick as most other greek yogurts I've sampled. I'd say the texture is slightly more reminiscent of regular yogurt than many Greeks I've tried. It just depends on your tastes but it's not nearly as thick as say Fage. But that may be what you like. Who am I to judge?

Taste: To me it tasted more like your regular Yoplait with maybe a tiny twist.

Healthy Stuff: It has about the same sugar content but it doesn't have jellies or fruit on the bottom so you can definitely make your own little homemade parfait by throwing in some nuts and granola.  It packs 2x the protein as regular yogurt so to me (in my mind at least) it keeps me fuller for a little longer. Or at least it's much more satisfying than having regular yogurt. Downer? It still falls short of its Greek counterparts as far as protein goes.

Variety is the Spice of Life: Available in four delicious flavors, Strawberry, Blueberry, Honey Vanilla and Plain.

Verdict? I personally prefer Greekier (is that a word? no. leave me alone) yogurts so this to me wasn't my fave. But my friend who doesn't like Greek yogurt tried mine and loved it because it was less "Greek" I also don't love eating non-organic milk products but of course the plus side is the price. It's also super figure-friendly so when faced with the option of yogurt or a cookie with preservatives and the like I'd reach for this.

Does anyone watch the TV show Greek with Kelsey Grammer's daughter? Best show evs. Bueller?

Try it out and see what you think and let me know in the comments.
