Breakfast of Champions- Detox Smoothies, Green Tea and Spirulina

Feeling a little green? Get on board with the detox smoothie trend!

I’ve been making a green smoothie for me and BF–oh man I keep forgetting he’s my fiance!

Get your daily fiber and vitamins each morning in a delish smoothie!

Here’s what I add for 2 big smoothies:

1 apple chopped
1 pear chopped
4 stalks of celery
2 handfuls of cilantro
2 handfuls of parsley
3 handfuls of spinach
3 big kale leaves
1/2 a lemon (no peel)
1 inch of ginger root (peeled)

I literally toss it all in the food processor and about 30 seconds later it’s done. It looks scary but I swear it tastes delicious! It tastes mostly like fruit with a little kick. And then I feel good all day long that I got so many vitamins and minerals so early. Usually I’m lucky to get berries in my cereal!

Then I wash it down with green tea and spirulina!

Have you tried detox smoothies? Have any better ingredient ideas? We sometimes add pineapple! mmmm…
